China's "Sugar Capital" — Chongzuo — has over 4 million mu (about 267,000 hectares) of sugarcane planted in 2026. For the 2026/2027 crushing season, the city targets a mechanized harvesting rate of 12.26%, with over 359,000 mu (about 24,000 hectares) to be harvested by combine harvesters.

On August 20–21, the Southern Guangxi Sugarcane Machinery Promotion Conference was held in Chongzuo. Hosted by Luoyang Chenhan Agricultural Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. and organized by municipal and county agricultural machinery centers, the event brought together over 230 large-scale growers, agricultural machinery service organizations, and sugar mill representatives.The conference showcased Chenhan's new 2026 180-horsepower sugarcane harvester, equipped with a field collection and transport machine. Additionally, a lightweight, simplified sugarcane harvester specifically designed for hilly and mountainous terrain was also unveiled at the conference.

As a national high-tech enterprise, Chenhan showcased its full-equipment lineup covering the entire sugarcane process — from planting, cultivation, and management to harvesting, cleaning, and milling. The 2026 upgraded models are optimized for Chongzuo's local field conditions, with a special focus on sugarcane combine harvesters and mobile cleaning equipment. Live demonstrations highlighted their efficient, time-saving, and labor-saving advantages. Free operator training sessions were also offered to address the shortage of both machinery and skilled operators.

The promotion achieved remarkable results: over 80 Chenhan sugarcane machines have been newly ordered in the city for 2026, including 72 combine harvesters, with 13 units signed on the event day alone.
